Unproven Fertility Treatments

Because of complexity of Infertility spectrum, most of the patients are not conversant with the entire process and various treatments that are available. Infertility has many causes and hence the nature of infertility problems is not uniform. There are different kinds of infertility problems and each one of them demands specific and separate treatment. For an example, some infertility problems can be solved through IUI, while some demand IVF. Then there are a lot of tests to determine copious elements or facets of the problem. Amidst all these technical things, patients are left baffled. Most of them do what doctors suggest or order.

While most of the IVF Doctors in Noida are honest and have tremendous credibility, there are a few rotten apples too who hoodwink patients by taking undue advantage of their ignorance. These corrupt doctors only want to feather their nest and hence ask patients to undergo a lot of unnecessary tests which have absolutely no bearing on the final outcome. The efficacy of these treatments is unproven and hence there is not point asking patients to embrace them.

Recently Human Reproduction, the leading IVF medical journal, published an article that had a list of unproven treatments. These are –

  • Embryo glue
  • Sperm DNA fragmentation
  • Time-lapse imaging
  • Preimplantation genetic screening
  • Mitochondria DNA load measurement
  • Assisted hatching

While every IVF Centre in Delhi is entitled to earn reasonable profit, it is better to earn it by providing world-class services and treatment, rather than hoodwinking patients. Patients, on their part, must also be aware about the fundamental facts about infertility treatments and all the latest happenings in the field of fertility.
